Facebook Has Given Me The Boot

Posted by DeadAnarchistPhil on April 29, 2011

Why did they delete me? Well, not because I said, wrote or posted anything bad, it was because my name didn’t match what I signed up with. Like many people on Facebook I changed my name now and again, and because it was ‘Phil Nihilism’ they disabled my account.

I don’t know about you but that is just utter shit! When I signed up to Facebook the real name stipulation wasn’t there. I signed up with the name ‘Flipper Sunk The Boat’ just for a laugh, and changed it a few times since. I couldn’t really stand Facebook anyway and was only there for some family and friends I couldn’t speak to anywhere else on a regular basis. I’ve gradually got really pissed off with the site and what it offers, for instance the limited characters in wall posts and comments, the bland look of the site and the fact Facebook takes your details and gives them away to third parties, as do you when you add Applications to your profile.

So I’m not really arsed about Facebook, I could put my real name back in and gain my account back, but when a site is telling me what my name should be, making the site for the ADD generation and thick people then it’s time for me to leave. Only thing I’m sad about is leaving some people on there. However, this will be a good opportunity to see who will get back in contact with me, I’ve got a feeling only two or three will even bother.

Which just confirms my feelings on making friends on the net and in the real world, don’t bother because  a lot go away in the end when they’ve either had their fill of you or you’ve bored them and thus you’ve served your purpose. Humans are fickle, arrogant and self-serving creatures. Well.. the majority are anyway. And people wonder why I’m so unsociable and unwilling to make friends so easy?

Anyway… fuck Facebook!

Few Songs I like

Posted by DeadAnarchistPhil on April 24, 2011

Just thought I’d post some of the music/bands/singers that I liked and listened to when I was growing up and beyond. There were more bands but I don’t listen to them anymore, so I only include the ones I still like.

Just because I like a song doesn’t mean I’m an expert on that band or know more of their songs and albums, though I do know a lot about some bands than others.

Songs are listed in the decades I first heard them.

The Police – Walking On The Moon (One of the first songs I ever remember hearing).

The Petshop Boys – What Have I Done To Deserve This

The Waterboys – Whole Of The Moon

Eurythmics – Sweet Dreams

Procol Harum – A Whiter Shade Of Pale

The Moody Blues – Nights In White Satin

Tears For Fears – Everybody Wants To Rule The World

Talk Talk – It’s My Life

The Specials – (Don’t remember which song it was but it was most likely ‘Ghost Town’. So see The Specials in the ’90s section for one of my favourites).

Madness – It Must Be Love

The Stranglers – Golden Brown

Simple Minds – Alive And Kicking (the leader singer looks like the late Steve Irwin!)

New Order – True Faith (EPIC WINNING!).

Joy Division – (Can’t remember the song but I heard the music, see 1990s for one of my favourites)

The La’s – There She Goes

Depeche Mode – Enjoy The Silence

Talk Talk – Life’s What You Make It

The Specials – Gangsters (look at the guy’s (Dam’s) [RAPE] face at 1:27 lol )

James – Sit Down

Sepultura – Ratamahatta (first taste of metal back in ’95, it tasted good!)

Joy Division – Dead Souls (WINNING! so much they created a hole in space-time that will forever keep pushing their music from Universe to Universe!)

Radiohead –  Fade Out

Pulp – Misshapes (Never, in Human History, has so much WINNING! been created by so few people and dedicated to so many.)

Stone Roses – I Wanna Be Adored (“I wanna be a door…” I wonder if Ian Brown achieved his ambition?)

Orbital – Lush (First song I heard from these guys was ‘The Box’ but I prefer this song)

The Orb – Asylum

Aphex Twin – On (First track I heard of his, still like it, even though it sounds like a strained fart looped over and over. By the way, Jarvis from Pulp made this video, not sure if he provided the sample for the track though).

Manic Street Preachers – Design For Life (The first Political song I ever really liked and still love it. It’s still relevant fifteen years after it was written.)

Bjork – Hyperballad

Sex Pistols – Anarchy In The UK

Public Image Limited – Seattle (I like PIL better than the Pistols)

Dubstar – Not So Manic Now

Massive Attack – Rising Son

Paul Weller – Wild Wood

The Clash – Straight To Hell (I heard the Clash back in the ’80s but didn’t listen to or know who they really were untill the late 90s early 2000s. Not that much of a fan anymore now).

De-Lacy – Hideaway (A one off from ’95)

U2 – The Unforgettable Fire (I aint a big fan of U2 at all or they way Bono sucks up to world leaders, but I like a few of their songs).

Monaco – What Do You Want From Me? (side project by Hooky from New Order).

The Smiths – There Is a Light That Never Goes Out

Morrissy –  Irish Blood, English Heart

The Beloved – The Sun Rising (EMI is not letting me see the video so I can’t post it).

808 State – Pacific State

Electronic – Getting Away With it (Side project by Bernard Sumner from New Order, Johny Mar of the Smiths and feature Neil Tennant from the Pet Shop Boys).

Cast – Alright

Everything But The Girl – Missing

George Michael – Spinning The Wheel (I don’t think he get’s enough credit for his other work in the mid-’90s)

Suede – Trash

Blur – The Universal (I hate that British Gas used this in their ad, I now think of them instead of blur or the times when I first started listening to this song!)

Saint Etienne – Only Love Can Break Your Heart

The Bluetones – Slight Return

Primal Scream – Higher Than The Sun

Lo Fidelity Allstars – Blisters On My Brain

Killing Joke – Love Like Blood

Slayer – Raining Blood

Pantera – 5 Minutes Alone

Atari Teenage Riot – Hetzjagd Auf Nazis

Hatebreed – Live For This

Agnostic Front –  Gotto Go! (Don’t listen to these much, but still like the hardcore punk skinhead theme and music).

Sick Of It All – Just Take a Look Around

Machine Head – Davidian

Dropkick Murpheys – The Spicy McHaggis Jig (Music to sing to when ya drunk lol)

Rokysopp – What Else Is There?

Bat For Lashes – Daniel

Jarvis Cocker – Cunts Are Still Running The World

Cyantoic – Deface Glitch Mode Stomper

Feindflug – Alptraum

Terrorfact – Hate Like This

Propergol – Fahrenheit (I like a line in this track that sounds like it says: “What?! You don’t see no light!!!”)

The Peoples Republic Of Europe – Monopoly Of Violence

Dead Hand Projekt – Hate Me

Ulcerative Colitis Diary: Week Thirteen on Prednisolone (EPIC WINNING)

Posted by DeadAnarchistPhil on April 18, 2011

Green = How well I feel 1 being the best and 10 being the worse.

Blue = Depression Caused by the UC directly. Again, on a scale as above.

Treatment for: Ulcerative Colitis.

Medication, Direction and Course as follows:

Prednisolone : Take four One 5mg Tablet(s) daily for four weeks [Now six weeks], then cut down by one tablet a week each week over the next four [Now three] weeks. Untill I see the specialists in April 2011.

Day 85 Tue 12th April: (?) (?) (?)

Day 86 Wed 13th April:Had a bad visit to the toilet, went three times, first time was normal, second was a little less formed and the third time was typical UC. Hoping this is just a blip.

My sleeping pattern is still upside down. I sleep about two or three hours then wake up around 8 or 9am, then stay awake untill 3 or 4pm and then I’m so tired I have to sleep for four or five hours then I’m awake untill f or 5am. Wonkey aint in it! (3/10) (1/10)

Day 87 Thu 14th April: Things seem to have normalised somewhat, looks like it was just a blip.

Still tired and still fucked! (2/10) (1/10)

Day 88 Fri 15th  April: Been awake since 9am, going to try and stay awake untill 10 pm or so.

Toilet visit normal. Sleeping pattern started to normalise. (1/10) (1/10)

Day 89 Sat 16th  April: Toilet visit was normal.

Sleeping pattern staying stable. (1/10) (1/10)

Day 90 Sun 17th April: Got up at 8:15am.

Toilet visit was normal.

Had a headache. Went to bed at 11:30pm.(1/10) (1/10)

Day 91 Mon 18th April: Woke up at 8:10am. Not been to the toilet yet. Visit to the UC specialist today.

Went to toilet, tis all normal.

Just got back from the seeing the inflammatory Bowl Disease nurse (IBD Nurse), um, I wont be on Prednisolone anymore. I have to ween myself off them over this week and then stop while increasing my Mesalazine Tablets from 6 tabs a day to 8 tabs a day to off-set against the loss of the prednisolone – just incase the UC trys to come back.

She said although things have gone back to normal on the surface of the colon, it doesn’t mean the underside hasn’t. There’s three layers of the colon, and only my top level is healed. So I have to wait for 6 months or so before I start to introduce the foods that could cause the UC. She also told me that I would be able to eat the trigger foods once fully healed, that’s a relief! So yeh, I have about five months left before full recovery because I only started to recover a month or so ago.

If I do have another flare I wont be using Prednisolone anymore, I will be put on another drug that has marginally fewer side-effects and one possible big one! It’s called Azathioprine. If I take this medication I have a 4 in 100,000 chance of developing Lymphoma! But when you think about it, everyone has a 1 in 100,000 chance of developing Lymphoma, so the chances are pretty negligible, but still… Lymphoma??? She told me the long-term effects of Azathioprine were significantly less than those of Prednisolone. Compare them yourself and tell me what you think, what you take them?

Another thing, I sussed out why I get headaches… it’s because I’m so out of shape and over weight. They’re called “exertional Headaches” or “Exercise Induced Headaches“. Basically, it happens when a person works themselves so hard they get headaches. However, just walking, bending down, gardening or getting out of a Taxi (yes, that happened today!) and walking set it off! I got a really bad banging headache when I got back home. Then again, that comes as no surprise to me as I’m 24st!

Oh yeh, because I’m eating rubbish I have a “fatty liver”. I explained to her it’s hard work to exercise when you have trouble with really low-moods and limited diet. Anyway, I have to go for a scan on it soon.

Um, I see the UC consultant tomorrow, so another trip there! Not looking forward to it really!

So, in short… Things are good, coming off the steroids over this week (which means one last UC Diary based on Prednisolone, but I’ll still do a UC Diary once a week or so), weight is bad and liver is a little dodgey, but over all things are sort of looking up on the UC front! (1/10) (1/10)

Death And The ‘Afterlife’?

Posted by DeadAnarchistPhil on April 15, 2011

First off, sorry if this is a bit morbid, if you don’t want to comment on this blog because it upsets you or it just isn’t a topic of interest, then sit this one out.

I find myself thinking about death and the afterlife a lot seeing as I’m an Obsessive Thinker and ruminater caused by OCD. But I don’t think I’m alone in thinking about this subject, you don’t need to be deep thinker or have OCD to think about Death and what may or may not lie beyond it.

When I think of death it brings a feeling sadness, darkness and images of a road on a rainy night with the street lights shining while the fine rain is blown by the wind as it falls past the lamp light at different angles. Graveyards are an obvious one, I dislike them a lot, it reminds me of the inevitable fate we, and indeed, everything else that lives faces in the end.

It so sad to me that everything we are, all our memories, experiences talents and basically everything else is snuffed out forever when we die. I can’t really describe it properly but the majority of the time it leaves me feeling very Nihilistic and that nothing we do will ever matter in the grand scheme of the Universe. I know the fact we’re all going to josh-it one day doesn’t mean we can’t live for today, but that sense of Nihilism, at that point, is so overwhelming that nothing does matter, it makes you not what to do anything. Everything just shrinks in to insignificance. And then you come back to ‘normality’ and it sort of annoys me that as well as not existing at all I’m going to miss so much after I die! So many wonderous things, the bad things I can miss, but there’s going to be so much change, inventions and discoveries I’m going to miss!

My question to you on this subject is, what do you think of Death? Are you worried about it? Does it bother you that one day your family members will die by before you? Does it bother you that you’ll leave people behind and that you’ll never be awake ever again? Oh, that’s assuming there is no afterlife! Now, I’m not going to say there is an after life or there isn’t… but… my gut feeling is there is nothing once you’re lights go out. That’s it, you’re done. I mean, I hope I’m completely wrong, but to me it seems obvious. That disclaimer out-of-the-way let me continue, so… will it bother you that you’ll be missing out on so much after you die? Not just the good things but the good times you could’ve had with family and friends? On the flip side, do you believe in an afterlife? If so, what makes you think it exists and what evidence is there to support that?

Ghosts! Do you believe in Ghosts? Have you ever had an encounter with one?

My opinion on Ghosts is just because I can’t see them, it doesn’t mean that something isn’t there, especially when so many others have supposedly seen or felt these things.

I have family members who’ve seen Ghosts! My Gran is the main one, she’s told me a few stories. One of the main ones she told me about was when she and her co-worker where working at a local pub that they didn’t know was haunted and saw the ex-landlord who hung himself. They were cleaning one evening (or morning) when they both saw the same Ghost… her co-worker was so scared her hair went white and she refused to go back to the pub ever again.

Apparently my Gran’s mother was a ‘Medium’, she had also seen Ghosts.

Another family member of mine had seen her Grand Father, whom she’d never met and only knew from pictures, in the door way of the living room. I was in the house at the time and heard her go hysterical. At first I thought she was laughing but she was crying. The same family member saw my aforementioned Grandmother twice since she died a few years back.

Now, I know these family members well, do they have reason to lie? No, they don’t, I don’t think they would say such things just to attention seek. Do I believe what they say they see? Well, I’m a skeptic, I can’t believe something without facts, evidence or a solid explanation as to why or what they say they’ve seen is actually there. Being exposed to high ElectroMagnetic Fields (EMFs) can make some people feel or even see things that are not there. So, some family memebrs of mine may be predisposed to seeing things if they’re ever exposed to high EMFs. I’m more inclined to believe this because it has a basis in reality and can actually be replicated in the lab. These lab results show that all people can experience that ghostly feeling if the EMF is turned up high enough, it’s just some people have more of a sensitivity to EMFs, and these are the people who see or feel Ghosts where EMFs are to high for them.

You don’t always have to be exposed to EMFs to see things. The Human brain is also programmed to find faces and form in everything, which is why we see form everywhere (You see the Hitler house in the news lately?). Imagine going from a  light room in to a dimly lit or dark room and your eyes adjust, you brain will struggle to make sense and find out what and where everything is, and with the light that was just in your eyes fading away your brain makes pictures and faces, if you’re that way inclined think that, which you would if you were scared of the dark or believe in Ghosts. If you didn’t and wanted to see a light switch on a near by wall you’d reach for it and fall over because the wall you imagined wasn’t actually there.

Myself personally, I haven’t seen or heard anything! Family members on the other hand hear something everyday! Every creek, thump, breeze, unexplained electrical appliance cutting out, flickering light, dark shadow from the corner of their eyes, things going missing and door shutting (when there’s an obvious explanation for it) is a Ghost of a family member. When I hear the above I don’t think Ghost, sometimes it doesn’t register at all, unless I’m in bed, in which case I’ll know what it is. It’ll either be people up, floorboards popping back in to place, a window open, door being shut too fast, cats messing about or heating coming on. If it is none of them and I know people are in bed then I will think: “Someone’s broken in!”

However, even if I did see something, I wouldn’t put it straight down to a super natural force, as I explained above, I could be in a high EMF area, really tired, my eyes receiving signals from my brain when adjusting to light/dark  (playing tricks) or I’m under the influence of some chemical.

The above is my take on it, I want to hear your take though, if you believe otherwise then tell me your stories, I’d love to hear them! However, I may try to dispute what you saw by offering up explanations, but I wont really baulk at you… much! lol

Hope all are doing well and have a great weekend!

Ulcerative Colitis Diary: Week Twelve On Prednisolone

Posted by DeadAnarchistPhil on April 13, 2011

Green = How well I feel 1 being the best and 10 being the worse.

Blue = Depression Caused by the UC directly. Again, on a scale as above.

Treatment for: Ulcerative Colitis.

Medication, Direction and Course as follows:

Prednisolone : Take four One 5mg Tablet(s) daily for four weeks [Now six weeks], then cut down by one tablet a week each week over the next four [Now three] weeks. Untill I see the specialists in April 2011.

Day 78 Tue 5th April 2011: Still have the headache from exercising on Monday, I’ve had it all night, I couldn’t sleep because of it. I slept two hours then had to get up and hold a hot-water bottle to the area. It got rid of it eventually, went to bed at 6am Wed 6th

Never went to the toilet this day. (2/10) (2/10)

Day 79Wed 6th April 2011: Didn’t have a headache when I woke up but developed it when I started cleaning up.

Did some more light exercise today, some squats and walking briskly on the treadmill, it was a little easier, though I need to improve my stamina and cardio over the next few months. If I do it slow I lower the risk of making myself ill and pulling muscles. Still feel like my back’s going to give in though.

Exercise made the headache work!

Never went to the toilet this day.(1/10) (2/10)

Day 80 Thu 7th April 2011: Wonky sleeping pattern the most annoying thing today.

Haven’t been to the toilet today.(1/10) (2/10)

Day 81 Fri 8th April 2011: Went to the toilet today, everything was normal. My sleeping pattern is still well and truly fucked. The closer I get to the course and study time the worse it gets! Which is just what I feared would happen.

I didn’t do exercise, couldn’t muster the, I can’t even think of the word!!(1/10) (1/10)

Day 82 Sat 9th April 2011: Toilet visit was normal.

My sleeping pattern being tits up is not helping me. Sleepin’ odd times does zero for motivation and developing a regime to do exercise, diet, DIY, Gardening and, in the future, study!

My pattern is so fucked up now that I’m sleeping a few hours then waking up and staying awake for six! Which is in contrast to a few days earlier when I was sleeping a lot and feeling tired all the time. Well, I still feel tired a lot, but it’s not as bad. Maybe it’s because I’m up at night with no one else about.(1/10) (1/10)

Day 83 Sun 10th April 2011: Toilet visit was normal. Motivation still low. (1/10) (1/10)

Day 84 Mon 11th April 2011: No toilet visit today.

Did a lot of garden work, had to force myself to do it while fighting tiredness. I’d been up since 3am in the morning and didn’t get to sleep untill gone 12:30am Tuesday morning. I still didn’t have a good sleep. (1/10) (1/10)

One Wants One’s Country Back!

Posted by DeadAnarchistPhil on April 8, 2011

Just spruce up my poster a made a while back, added the Queen for a laugh and stuck my display name on there. Not sure if I can use it for a background or as a poster I can use to advertise my site elsewhere on the web.

But I’m not sure I want all that traffic and the inevitable aggro I’d get and have to deal with. I already get it on my Youtube page, I’d get worse on here. I’m not so much bothered about me though, I’m worried about these idiots going for other commenters and bloggers I talk to on here.

Anyway, thoughts on the poster are welcome.

Libyans are complaining they’re upset with NATO’s actions, or lack of, in the country. Well, maybe we should take our military hardware and go home? Maybe we should do that and leave the support up to the Arab Countries who are also supposed to be helping you but have a taken a back seat! In the West you can’t win, you go in to save a people, and they still bitch and moan. We should pull out and leave the business up to the Arab League and the Arab countries that are bitching about NATO doing things wrong. Pull out and let them take care of it, but they wont, because they’ll fail outright and also cost them money. So… they should either shut the fuck up or do it themselves, same goes for the Libyans complaining.

Oh, and how cool is this: The Stars Sing. No, I’m not talk of the Human kind, but like our own Sun! They actually sing! I hope they do anyway and the BBC isn’t pulling a late April Fools! I’m not sure how recent this discovery is, it strikes me as something that should’ve been known for a while. Anything with such power and force must emit some kind of hum. I’m sure it’s old news but they’ve discovered something new about it. I would find you the story but the BBC don’t have it on their site yet!

A new particle may have been discovered in the USA via their Tevatron Accelerator. I just hope it’s real and one of the workers haven’t dropped a Cheeze Burger in there! Imagine it… ‘Tha Cheeze Burger Particle’.

Have a good weekend to all!

Ulcerative Colitis Diary: Week Eleven On Prednisolone

Posted by DeadAnarchistPhil on April 5, 2011

Green = How well I feel 1 being the best and 10 being the worse.

Blue = Depression.

Day 71 Tue 29th March 2011: (Been normal today, not much to report besides a low-mood still.

Went to the toilet, was normal. I pushed it today! I had another Big Mac for my tea, seeing as no one had gone shopping again and someone was going so I had a Big Mac. We’ll see how it affects me. (2/10) (6/10)

Day 72 Wed 30th March 2011: Went to the toilet twice today, which is something I havent done very often for the last two weeks. Both times it was normal, but I two motions with the second, the second wasn’t that formed and I actually had some abdominal tenderness. Maybe eating that Big Mac was a bad idea! I hope this is just a blip.

Did some light exercise, back strengthening, press-ups, squats, punching with weights in hand, stretching and walked on the treadmill for six minutes. During it and after I felt sick! And that was only light, I also felt abdominal twinges! I hope this doesn’t happen every time! (2/10) (6/10)

Day 73 Thu 31st March 2011: Went to the toilet not long after getting up, 1pm, and it’s less formed but still in the bracket of ‘normal’. Again, hoping this is just a blip and not a result of that Big Mac I ate!

Still feel funny inside, not sure if it was the Big Mac, Exercise or low-mood! We’ll see.

Did some more exercise, but only gentle, to increase my back-strength and over all muscle-strength. Felt sick and dizzy after it. Mood still low. (2/10)(7/10)

Day 74 Fri 1st April 2011: Things have gone back to normal.

Mood still low. (2/10) (7/10)

Day 75 Sat 2nd April 2011: Went to bed at 6am this day, I had a panic attack of sorts, the first time since 2006. Luckily I can control them, I just breathed through my nose normally and tried to relax. It made me feel better but didn’t get rid of the tightness in my chest fully. But it worked to a degree because I fell asleep.

The quality of sleep itself wasn’t that good either, I kept waking up and dreamed it was the end of the world, everyone seemed to be calm about it for some reason! I woke up at 12:30pm and had something to eat while I took my tablets. Then I went back to bed and slept untill 6pm. Still felt shitty when I got up.

Went to the toilet twice! Had the urgency feeling the second time. Still OK though. (2/10) (7/10)

Day 76 Sun 3rd April 2011: Woke up late after staying up to 9am! Woke at 1am and took tabs and then went back to bed. Woke up at 8pm.

Toilet visit was normal and mood still low. (2/10) (7/10)

Day 77 Mon 4th April 2011: Went back to bed at 12am, I was so tired and just fucked off I need to get away from everyone and everything. Didn’t sleep at all, just rested for an hour or so and then got back up again.

Still feel tired and fucked off, more than I have for a while. I find it funny (I don’t actually, I find it annoying), I was planning to do my full exercises again today, and I get this wave of demotivation! A feeling of lethargy, misanthropy and a feeling of  Nihilism coupled with sadness and Nihilism. I’m sick of this mindset, OCD or whatever it is, it’s sending me mental!

OK, just read that back, that’s enough of that! (2/10) (8/10)

Palin Gains More Support For Her 2012 Campaign

Posted by DeadAnarchistPhil on April 2, 2011

U.S. Presidential hopeful Sarah Palin has gained some much-needed support for her possible 2012 presidency campaign! It comes at a time when support for her was falling amid claims from other candidates inside the Republican Party and in the U.S. media that she is not the right person for the job. Which is a bit rich considering that since the 1970s the U.S. President has been more-or-less picked by rich businessmen. And not all of them have been ‘Right for the job’. George Bush, anyone?

                                                                                              Palin Supporter Last Week

Other possible Presidential hopeful, Donald Trump, has also gained some new support on top of the supporters he already has, supporters Sarah Palin says he stole from her.

Palin has accused Trump of ‘Trumpin’ it’, and act of Trump’s where he offers incredibly obvious lies and soundbites that would make any person other than Jesus look like a complete and utter bare-faced liar.

For instance, in the U.S. there is a debate as to whether President Obama was born there or outside the country. Obviously if you’re born outside the U.S.A. you can’t become the President, something a lot of right-wing Americans would like to happen. And Donald Trump has used this to champion the “Birther” cause while maintaining that he believes the President was born in the United States.

What Trump is doing is akin to Hitler leading the cause for Jewish rights in Nazi Germany while still believing in the final solution.

I’ll leave you with a poster made by one of the new Trump supporters. He looks suspiciously like the above supporter. I think they may be brothers!

News just in! Palin Supporters are Anti-Police and Pro-drugs!
