Are you voting?

Posted by DeadAnarchistPhil on May 5, 2015

voting-paper-ballots

I don’t feel particularly ’empowered’ by voting or the thought of it, in fact I feel powerless, and have done for a long time now.

Why? Influence of the very rich, powerful, bankers and business trumps mine, and your vote, every time.

Not only that but also the political system has no repercussions for politicians if they don’t deliver what they promised or if they’re corrupt. Some people, politicians included, would argue that our vote (support too) would be the repercussion, but we’ve seen time after time that one fuck up after another and these bastards get away with things that a normal person would go to prison for. They walk away free with fortunes, gold-plated pensions and assured jobs elsewhere.

The answer?

I would advocate connecting wages with the success that they’re making, or not making.

I would advocate politicians who don’t deliver what they promise in their manifestos (or are corrupt) have ALL their earnings taken from them (including homes and any other assets) and are barred from entering politics again.

If they stand to lose everything, their money and freedom, just like a normal person would, we would see a change.

However, this isn’t going to happen because not one party out there is offering this sort of answer up, not one. Until this is offered and a valid political system that is put in place that makes our elected officials work for us, then I can’t vote.

Some people and politicians would say people should get involved more often at the local level, to hold our elected officials to account that way. There’s two things wrong with this:

1) The majority of people in this country are politically uneducated or ignorant, holding MP’s and Councillors to account will be difficult without the country’s and local communities support. And let’s face it, the attitude of people in this country, what I’ve seen and heard first hand about work as well as politics is: “I can’t be arsed/bothered!”.

2) Just as in politics at the national level, so it will be at the local level, those with more money and influence will get to the front of the Que first and more or less dictate policy.

So in brief we need a political system where politicians will be held to account and an electorate who is educated enough to demand it. We’re currently lacking both.

The old system isn’t working anymore, we can see it throughout the western world, less and less people are voting, though this doesn’t mean they’re not interested in politics. Some people are trying to influence government by joining pressure and lobbying groups, which works to a degree, but there’s still not enough people engaged in politics. And besides, that would still make voting infective.

We need an actively and engaged citizenry with a proper system that punishes non-deliver of promises and corruption; and awards delivery. And I just can’t see it happening.

Oh, and before I go, the ‘If you don’t vote then don’t complain‘ bullshit is a cop out. If that’s the case then all my democratic right to vote means is I get to complain when the people I voted for don’t deliver what they said they were or are corrupt. Is that what a democratic vote really stands for in this country? People have thought and died for that right and it’s a smack in their faces that all it guarantees me is the right to complain and not have my right influence the course of a democracy. So please, don’t lay that on me.

DEMOCRACY NOT AUSTERITY!

Posted by DeadAnarchistPhil on December 9, 2011

In 24 hours, our leaders may wave through a terrifying Merkel/Sarkozy plan that would abolish our right to choose sane economic policies. But, together, we can stop our leaders trashing our democracy and our jobs.

Panicked by big banks, Europe’s governments want to change our constitutions and the EU treaty to permanently ban vital public spending. This is nuts: in the 1930s such spending was precisely what allowed Europe and the US to escape the Great Depression. Europe needs to toughen up and regulate the banks, not tie our governments’ hands to make them happy.

We live in a democracy — so Europe’s leaders should not be able agree to this plan themselves — they need to come up with solutions that have the approval of the people or our Parliament. We only have 24 hours to save our democracies from this attack — our massive call today can force leaders to respect democracy, regulate the banks, reject austerity, and invest in our future. Our demands will be delivered to the leaders and media outside tomorrow’s meeting. Sign and send to everyone you know before the meeting!

I’ve Lost All Faith…

Posted by DeadAnarchistPhil on December 2, 2011

In case you didn’t already know or notice I have lost all faith in the UK Government, Its Police force, its laws and judicial system. I have absolutely no faith in the financial system in the UK, or the wider world. I have zero faith in our media to deliver unbiased news. I’ve lost faith in all our Western Democracies.

The reasons for this are obvious. You should already be aware our Government is fucking useless, spineless and bows to the rich and powerful’ pressure on many subjects and situations. Not only that, but our Government, who are supposed to represent us and our values and ideals, regularly (That is on a daily basis as well as yearly and every decade) fuck us over in the name of more profits or whatever general cause they deem worthy of fucking us over for. Our values of freedom and democracy are nothing but words and a shadow of what they actually should be as they’re regularly denied or infringed upon in the UK. Not only does our Government do it at home, it does it in other countries too where they do business with some of the most disgusting regimes on the planet with Human Rights abuses.

The whole Westernised world is hypocritical, they’re ready and willing to over-look the mass murder of people in other countries as long as they get what they want out of it, which is usually resources which equals profits. Our Governments are owned and run by the richest and most powerful people in the UK and the World, and they’re not even voted in. Their vote is in the form of a donation to one of the main Political parties or one of the many members of those Political Parties. Some don’t even have to donate, they have such a huge business or amounts of money that they can just dictate what Government Policy will be on a specific subject. These people can also buy the media and not only the control the flow of news  but dictate what’s said or printed.

These same people can also get away with crimes other normal people like you and I could never hope to get away with if we ever committed such crimes. If you’re rich then you’re powerful, and when you’re powerful you’re influential. So basically they can buy themself out of trouble or buy themself a reduced sentence. So these people also have control and influence in the Judiciary and so are above the law of the land.

These people are arrogant despicable Human filth. The law doesn’t apply to them, so they do as they see fit, which includes having a say in the way my and your lives are run. Everything our governments do affect us, and as we’ve seen, they are dictated to by the rich and powerful.

It’s these people, as well as the Politicians who make up our Government, who have destroyed (and control) not only our Democracy but our economic system. Most of the Western world is in debt, debt that is so high that the level of austerity is going to rise over the next seven years and maybe beyond. These people, our Government and other groups would have you believe it was increased borrowing to meet public spending targets and bad business practices by a “Few bad apples” that caused the problem. To a degree, this is true, but those “few” bad apples were many and debt created by borrowing to meet public spending targets wasn’t as high as these people make out. Our national debts went up when we had to save the banks in the UK and the rest of the Western world.

These people, these eager,  greedy short-sighted bastards, lobbied and in some cases told Government to relax financial regulation laws so they could make more money faster, and in return the Governments’ would get more Tax from increased profits. Everything went well for nearly a decade, but during that time the deregulation of the financial system let loose a “make as much money as possible who gives a fuck about the repercussions to others” mentality. In short, the “Greed is Good!” type.

These are the people who helped bring the World’s economy to its knees, and are still involved in Government and the financial system. They’re so mixed with it all that two of these former bankers now run two European countries, Italy and Greece, and not only that they also have people in places of power throughout Europe. They’re so damned determined to get their money back from the countries they bought gilts from that they’ve infested the Governments of Europe to make sure there’s a bailout or that someone assures the debts will be paid.

Next year it’s highly likely the UK and Europe will go in to recession, in fact it may be even worse than a recession, it may develop in to a depression, and if that happens then things will obviously be really, really bad. And it incense me that we the people, will be the ones on the shitty end of the stick as usual, and the people I spoke of above will still be happy, healthy, solvent and still directing Government.

Yes, we have a lot to look forward to, don’t we? The only upside to this problem is that people will have nothing to lose at that point and there will be people in the street in their millions protesting about these people and the situation we’re in. I just hope that positive change comes from the ensuing shit storm in 2012 and the people aren’t mislead, calmed and fooled in to being quiet again by people who profess to be on their side and want to change things, when in fact it’s just another puppet group who are run and backed by the rich bankers, corporations and super rich.

Also, for the record, the Nations outside the Westernised world are no better when it comes to double standards, greed and certain people being exempt from the law. Don’t think for a second that those countries’ leadership are all innocent, because it’s far from the truth.

What Really Caused The 2011 Riots In England?

Posted by DeadAnarchistPhil on August 18, 2011

On the 4th of August 2011 the Metropolitan Police shot dead an alleged drug dealer, Mark Duggan, while trying to arrest him on suspicion of a planned revenge attack after the murder of his cousin.  According to Police sources Mr. Duggan had a Gun in the Taxi he was in when the Police tried to arrest him, it was also said one of the Police officers were shot, but this later turned out the be a ricochet from a Police gun. There are conflicting statements and circumstances surrounding the Death of Mark Duggan that are still not clear and may never will be. Not to dilute the seriousness of the incident but whether he was a drug dealer or the Police acted inappropriately is a subject for another blog because there is not enough evidence either way currently.

What we do know is that this death caused a chain reaction around London and then other parts of England. But let’s get this clear, only a few people were actively rioting because of what happened to Mark Duggan, the others just used it as an excuse. So, what I want to talk about is why. Why did so many people think it was right and proper to loot shops, destroy homes, cars, businesses and attack the Police and each other?

If you’ve been watching the TV and reading the News Papers then you would have seen what some people are blaming it on. The main answers I’ve seen being offered are a general breakdown in some parts of society, caused by relaxed parenting, absent parents, relaxed liberal law enforcement, drugs, lack of religion and the ‘Family values’ it advocates and lack of job prospects (National & Community Economic Depression).

It is all of the above, with some things being more responsible than others. One of the most questionable ones is the lack of religion in our community and daily lives being a big factor. I disagree with this as there was more crime in the past when England truly was a religious country than in modern times. Though I don’t dispute religion can be a guiding and grounding force when a person adopts only the good parts (When I say ‘good parts’ I mean what is good, kind and lawful by our cultural standards of today) of that particular ideology. Though many of the non-religious also maintain that people could do the same things without being religious and still have a healthy society. Japan for example, the majority of the population there are Shinto and Buddhists, these ‘religions’ are more about culture and history than religious regulations, yet Japan is nothing like England. When the North East of Japan was devastated by a tsunami in March 2011 no one was seen to be looting or overly angry, and their lives, homes and family had been washed away. Again this is nothing like England.

Staying with Japan as an example, the economy of Japan has been in a perpetual slump since the late 1980s. During the 1990s, which the Japanese call the ‘Lost Decade‘, jobless figures were high and even to this day the industry of Japan has a third of their workforce made up of non-Japanese, which means there’s fewer jobs for native-born Japanese. A situation similar to our own here in England. Despite this the Japanese have not rioted, though they have protested, albeit quietly.

So what causes the Japanese to take things in their stride, maybe a little too much in their stride, and the English to fight, smash and loot? As I said, all the above things I mentioned in paragraph three are all to blame to a degree, but all the above have a thing in common. That thing is ‘Socialisation‘. Basically, Socialisation is what we learn at an early age as we grow up. The ‘social norms’, the way we go about talking to others, eating, working, presenting ourselves, our values, traditions our culture. What we learn as children (Socialisation) will set the scene for how we act when we become adults. It’s important to note there is a common disagreement between social scientists about socialisation and if it is all learned or some aspects of our personality, which affect the way we act, are from genetics.

Regardless of that debate, the reality is that socialisation is the main way we learn and enforce the ‘norms’ of our society. So what degrades these norms, what stops or changes the established socialisation we have to another? The answer quiet simply is what I cited above. What this means is, that ‘break down in society‘ is a break down in socialisation. And that breakdown is caused by outside factors, such as I mentioned in Paragraph three, to all contribute to the degradation of the established socialisation we have. Of course, not everyone was out looting, fighting and destroying things during the unrest, what does this mean? It means the majority of the rioters came from a different community or family where accepted socialisation isn’t adhered to or respected.

On looking closely you can see these people come from economically depressed poor/working class areas, areas where economic activity and funding is very little and almost absent. When I say this I’m in no way excusing the way those people acted during the riots, I’m just explaining what contributed to it.

Adding to the economic depression is another factor, a Consumer Society . In a consumer society people buy for necessity as much as they do for pleasure and identity. In the past when jobs were more available and a collective identity, such as working class, miners, butcher and such were granted by birth, people had a sense of worth and stronger sense of belonging. These days, people rarely base who they are on their job title, they base who they are on what ‘they’re in to’, such as music, art, how they dress what they own and how rich they are. In a materialistic society where image, what you own and how rich you are means everything to an individual, you’re nothing if you don’t have the right stuff. You’re nothing if you’re a person or part of a family that’s on benefits and you can’t afford anything so you can socially ‘fit in’. This sounds very childish, and you would be right… it is, but this is the kind of hollow society we have whether you like it or not.

This type of society contributed to the riots, just as the economic under investment has. If those people had something to lose, if they already had what they wanted then many of them would not have done what they did. However, faced with the opportunity many people would loot what they could if given the chance, many people do that regardless of whether they’re rich or poor.

You may be thinking now: “If we [The English] did that then why didn’t the Japanese?” The answer to that is some socialisation is so engrained and matters so much, like the honour code in Japan, that people adhere to it strictly. That is why Japan doesn’t have much unrest, but we in the UK and the West do.

Having said all the above I think there comes a time when people take responsibility for their actions and situation and try to make a difference in their own lives instead of blaming it on others. The help exists out there for people to make something of themselves if they com from a disadvantaged area. I am an example of this. However, if the Government wants to stop the riots from happening again getting tough on crime will help a little but ultimately wont do much but lock more people up because the base problem isn’t being addressed. We need to get to the bottom of what causes it and that is our society that fosters hollow materialism, weak law enforcement and  successive Governments that have put profits and the needs of big business before those of the people.

Do You Want To Tell David Cameron What You Think Of Him?

Posted by DeadAnarchistPhil on July 12, 2011

I saw this while looking at my search terms…

Hahaha that made me laugh. My sister keeps saying she wants to tell him what she thinks of him, and I think a lot of people feel the same. So… here is David Cameron’s contact details:

http://www.number10.gov.uk/contact-us/

Don’t be afraid, do it! I know I am, and just remember, as long as you don’t advocate violence or killing, then they can’t touch you!

So if you want, post what you’ve said here, if you don’t then it’s all good. I’ll post mine when I have the time to write a well thought out letter. Of course, yours doesn’t have to be like that, could be a line of expletives if you want! haha

NewsCorp and The Phone Hacking Scandal

Posted by DeadAnarchistPhil on July 11, 2011

Just a quick post to comment on the News of The World and NewsCorp hacking story.

Successive UK Governments have been too close to the media for years! Blair, Brown, Labour, Conservatives and many people who matter in UK politics. And we all know this closeness is not a good thing! The Police taking bribes though, I’m not surprised about. But it made me think, why were these claims of having and bribes not investigated fully the first time? Obviously someone close to the top in Government has said something at the behest of someone within Newscorp. Who that is is not clear yet. But authorising large sums of money to bribe Police has to come from high up.

The tabloid media and it’s actions have been questionable for a while, and it wound me up so bad that nothing was being done about it. However, I never would’ve thought they would cross the line and invade a dead girl’s phone and hack the phones of dead soldiers families!

However, Rupert Murdoch and Newscorp have played the game just right.

They dropped the NOTW (reducing the overall media control in the UK which will look good in front of any media regulator) and now they’ve dropped their plans to ‘hive off’ BSkyB so they’ll be refered BACK to the competition commission.

Why did he do this? Because it will take 6 to 12 months to go over it. By the time the Commission delivers it’s verdict the public disgust would’ve died down and most likely wont cause any fuss because the people are more interested in some pointless celebrity having relationship/health/Career problems.

After that the Government and Political parties get back in bed with the media and we’re back to square one. I hope that doesn’t happen, but it seems more than likely!

Oh, and where’s Cameron gone? I think the following picture will answer.

UK Law & Order Are A Complete Joke!

Posted by DeadAnarchistPhil on June 25, 2011

I wasn’t planning on doing any more blogs this week, and I know I’ve done a post like this before but I had to blog on this.

You may have seen on the news this week that a man in Salford has been arrested for stabbing a burglar who attempted to rob his home with a gang of three men. The burglar (Who was already out on bail for a previous robbery) died from his wounds, the man is now under suspicion of murder.

The incident happened last Wednesday, I know the Police have to do their job, but three days? As of me writing this post on the 23rd of June 2011 there has been no word of him getting out, in fact the Police have been granted extra time to question him. [UPDATE: The man is now out on bail]

Just think about it, you’ve defended yourself and your family, like anyone would, and then you get arrested. This wound me up and got me thinking of my rights to self-defence, the law and the prevention of crime.

I have to say, when I read it, I raged a little! Take a look (All these are short extracts, to read in full click here):

The Law and Evidential Sufficiency:

“It is both good law and good sense that a man who is attacked may defend himself. It is both good law and good sense that he may do, but only do, what is reasonably necessary.”

And…

“A person may use such force as is reasonable in the circumstances in the prevention of crime, or in effecting or assisting in the lawful arrest of offenders or suspected offenders or of persons unlawfully at large.”

reasonable necessary“? So, if a gang bursts in someone’s home and the occupant instinctively reacts to protect himself and his family he/she is going to bear these stipulations, oh wait… ‘Laws’ – in mind? No they wont, they will react with an animal instinct and aim to kill, no matter with weapons or whatever else is to hand.

Yet acting this way can land you in prison for actions that are not “unreasonably necessary“.

Right now, there is nothing stopping a gang from bursting in to your or my house, assaulting and then robbing us. There’s nothing stopping them from intimidating you, your neighbours and the whole area you live in. Only in the UK could the population be told to remain sitting ducks and not protect ourselves and our neighbour hoods properly and wait to be victims of crimes.

So, if the laws’s a joke, prison is no deterrent and the police and law wont protect us, then who will? It’s obvious… no one but ourselves. I have honestly given up and lost faith with the Police, they can’t be relied upon to protect you from violence, robbery or intimidation, all they do is log your crime or problems and try to catch or have a word with whoever did it. Too bad if something of yours was stolen or someone died, isn’t it?

I really am sick of it, I live in one of the shittest Cities in the UK, only third to Glasgow and London, and the law is a joke and the local scum know how they can get away with murder, literally, and so it’s no skin off their nose if they kick the shit out of you. They’ll go away and come out a hero and ‘Hard man’ and bring the area down even more and wreck even more lives.

So, we can’t rely on the Police and law system to protect us, on the street or in our own homes. I really am itching to start taking defensive weapons out with me. I know, it sounds bad, but the crime stats for my area are bad too! And don’t tell me I’m worrying over nothing, I know who the local scum are! I’m also thinking about using something large, heavy or sharp for home defence, fuck the repercussions. And anyone who thinks the country is not that bad then you’re either rich, drinking the coolaid or part of the problem.

What you can legally Use:

Hands/Body. Unless you’re a MMA fighter then you’re pretty much fucked.

Self Defence Spray This stuff is useless! All it does is mark the skin for seven days.

Running Away. This is the actual prefered method the Police advocate. Wont make much difference if you’re cornered in your own home or being chased by a gang.

What you can’t use:

Pretty much everything else. So that sharpened Banana I had planned is out of the question!

Which brings us back to the Police and law again, they don’t want us to defend ourselves and leave them to do the crime fighting, yet how can we do that when they’re useless and the deterrent for crime isn’t a working at all? And the Human/Civil Rights groups also want us to defend ourselves ‘reasonably’! It seriously is a joke!

Oh, and if any one thinks David Cameron is on our side with this, well… you’re wrong. When he said last week:

We will put beyond doubt that homeowners and small shopkeepers who use reasonable force to defend themselves or their properties will not be prosecuted.

All he’s doing is reiterating the current law! He says shit like that safe in the knowledge that most people haven’t got a clue what their rights to self-defence are. I didn’t even know fully untill I checked! I advise you all to read it, rage, laugh, then hold you head in your hands and not think for a second if someone breaks in to your house or attacks you in the street, fight back, fight back as if you’re life depends on it, because the likelihood is… you most likely are!

Special Relationship? If There Was One Before, It’s Gone Now.

                                                                           The Falkland Islands Flag

I’ve been watching for a while now and yet again Barack Obama, the United States President, throws his closest, friendliest and most powerful ally in the world, the United Kingdom, under the bus to gain political points with South American States. And no, I am not talking about the southern states of the United States themselves, I mean the States on the Continent of South America. States like Venezuela, who have a corrupt dictator presidente and numerous other corrupt nations that make Washington itself look like a sparkly clean toilet instead of the cesspool of legal corruption it actually is.

What did he do? Well, you must all remember the Falklands War? When the UK fought to free the population of the Falklands from Argentina’s illegal occupation? Well Mr. Obama and his administration signed a  “draft declaration on the question of the Malvinas Islands” at the General Assembly of the Organisation of American States (OAS), in which South American states want the UK to discuss the sovereignty of the Falklands.

I would have thought, Obama having been in the UK a few weeks ago calling the UK “the U.S.’s most important ally”, which it arguably is, would have had the sense to not sign it. But hey, fuck the Brits, fuck their help, fuck their military and intelligence, we’re making new friends in South America now, ones who take democracy so seriously they stuff the ballot box every time there’s a vote.

Here’s a few facts for Mr. Obama, his administration and the OAS  to ponder…

FACT 1: The Falklands were claimed for Britain before the State of Argentina even existed.

FACT 2: Britain has held the Falklands solidly since 1823 (except for the Falklands War) and claimed it some time before that.

FACT 3: The people who live there want to remain part of and under the protection of the UK.

FACT 4: Argentina wont accept any kind of UK sovereignty.

I’ve not much liked Obama since he came to power, I just never trusted him, especially when I saw who was backing him. And his repeated slaps in the face to the UK have been very obvious and public!

When he first took power in the U.S. he sent the Bust of Churchill back to the UK.

When he met Gordan Brown in the UK Obama gave him a pile of crap DVDs, while Gordan Brown gave him a pen holder made from the timbers of a anti-slaving ship, which is the sister ship of the one the White House desk is made from.

At the UN Obama snubbed Gordan Brown, forcing him to run through the kitchens to catch him.

During last years Gulf Oil Spill [2010] the President refered to BP as ‘British petroleum’, repeatedly, deflecting blame from himself and on to Britain itself.

Earlier this year Obama gave away the UK’s Nuclear secrets without the UK knowing. This was so Russia would sign a Nuclear treaty.

Read here for even more snubs by the Obama administration.

With friends like that, who needs enemies? This episode assures me of two things: (i) Barak Obama doesn’t care one bit for the UK. (ii) Barack Obama is just another U.S. politician who will throw the UK under the bus if it benefits him.

It seems Mr. Obama doesn’t like the British very much. Some people suggest it is because his grandfather was tortured by the British in Kenya. If that is the case then Obama should remember that the U.S. had killed and tortured countless people all over the world since the end of WWII. Though he probably thinks that doesn’t apply to him because he didn’t do it, which is right. Well… the same applies with the UK.

However, this doesn’t matter, Obama and his administration are alienating their oldest ally, and for what? It just seems like cheap points with countries who have a less than clean reputation when it comes to Human rights violations (As if the U.S. could talk on that anyway). The UK isn’t perfect, but it’s a damn sight more democratic, friendly and loyal than the obvious corrupt regimes of South America and the Middle-East.

Oh, and you know what’s even more sad than Obama’s actions? The replies the UK government gives to such obvious slaps in the face. They’re so sad I’m not going to post them, so I will just say the UK Government needs to grow a spine on the international front as well as the domestic front. There’s not much chance of that and with our armed forces cut and currently still in Afghanistan and Libya, the UK Government will most likely do nothing and discuss the Falklands with Argentina.

The balance of power in the world is truly turning if the U.S. president sides with South America and one of it’s top generals talks of no future for NATO.

Tribute To The Arab Spring!

Posted by DeadAnarchistPhil on May 27, 2011

My Tribute To Those Fighting For Freedom, Rights and Democracy In The Middle-East, North Africa and Persia (Iran.)

Video Notes:

1. WARNING! GRAPHIC CONTENT!

2. This video didn’t turn out like I planned. There’s still News channel logos in there as well as a lack of the effects I wanted. For some reason my main video editing programme has developed a lagging problem, so it’s almost impossible to edit videos with it. I think it’s the amount of crap family members have been storing on my PC, going to give it a good cleaning soon.

3. The battles for freedom, rights and a better way of life goes on in the Arab world. This video will give you an idea of the suffering they’ve been going through to try and get it.

The last time this happened in the Muslim world the Ayatollah took control of Persia and any hopes of reform, rights and freedoms was crushed by a religious dictator in robes instead of a Shah Monarch in a military Uniform.

However, this doesn’t mean that situation will happen again! I’m hoping that the new Generation out there fighting for their rights, will learn from new technology and history and not let Islamists take control of their struggle and ruin it by turning each country in another version of Iran or Saudi-Arabia.

On the other hand, if these countries rebelling do manage to have democratic elections and vote in Islamists parties, whether they know what they’re voting for or not, who will dictate and dominate like Hosni Mubarak and Ben Ali, then it is their own fault/choice to do that.

Though I’m hoping they wont do that.

Nowt Like a Bit Of Hypocrisy, Eh?

Posted by DeadAnarchistPhil on May 19, 2011

Apparently Bin-Laden loved ‘In The Night Garden’.

Osama Bin-Laden was killed! Well, I believe he is, though some people think he isn’t dead or it was all faked as part of the 9/11 conspiracy, which is just rubbish. Then again, the idea 9/11 and the whole Bin-Laden search and stuff could’ve been invented isn’t impossible to achieve. Though I don’t believe that is the case.

Anyway, some thoughts came to me when I saw the media and U.S. reaction to his death, the same thoughts I had when there’s a 9/11 remembrance. People talk of: “Justice being done!” and “An evil man who murdered 1000s has now been killed!” And this makes me think of what our own nations (in the West) have done to the developing world. We’ve bombed them, we support Israel and other regimes who regularly kill their own people, because it benefits us in some way, while still spouting “We stand for freedom, democracy and justice”. Isn’t that just a little bit hypocritical?

When Bin-Landen kills 100s it’s not right?, But when our military machine blows the fuck out of Iraq, gives millions (the U.S. gives Billions) in military aid to governments that repress and kill their own people, then it’s all good?

I’m trying to say the West, UK, Europe, U.S. Canada etc are not as innocent as they would have you believe and have huge double standards when it comes to morals and what they stand for. Oh, and so does the rest of the world.
