Hypnic Jerking!

Well I should be asleep but I keep dropping off and then jolting awake again. Apparently it’s called Hypnagogic Jerking, if someone had asked me what that meant before I looked it up I’d swear it was something dirty.
Anyone can get it, though people who are sleep deprived, who drink stimulants, have distorted sleep patterns or exercise more closely to bed time are more likely to have it.
I think mine is through a distorted sleep pattern, I’ve felt ill the last 3 days, and on Monday afternoon I went for a kip because I was so tired and had a headache. I ended up pretty much sleeping from 5pm Monday through to 4am Tuesday – and I’ve been awake since.
The cramps and gurgling in my side aren’t helping things either, the UC decided to smack me hard in the chops today. I felt tired and ill all day, but I had a dentist appointment – which I’d already cancelled once before last month due to the UC – so I didn’t eat or drink much on Monday or early Tuesday (My appointment was for 1:30). Still went to the toilet 2 or 3 times before I left. Although not eating or drinking much won’t stop the UC from doing it’s thing, it can minimise the chances of having to visit a toilet or having an accident. I made it there and back without any issues anyway, took my ‘Just in case bag’ too! After I got back I ended up going again 2 more times.
An IBD is like a private British rail company… so inconvenient and unreliable that you may as well stay home! I just thought of that because a train not long went past… You can judge me for that one if you like btw…
Anyway, I’ve waffled enough… I’m going to toddle off and watch a few episodes of Legion series 3. It’s based in the Marvel Universe and revolves around a powerful mutant who has the power of absorbing other mutants minds and powers. There’s a lot more to it than that, like the whole series is viewed through his (Legion/David’s) distorted view of reality, with a lot of weird and strange things that make you “WTF?” a lot. Case in point, The Vermillion…
I’ve been a Marvel fan since X-Men in the early 90s, but it doesn’t mean I like every marvel TV series as some of them are just typical American action hero-y. While Legion is far more complicated, psychological, moral and philosophical, as well as straight-up crazy!

You don’t have 2 sites, just 2 views of it. One is reader view and the other is your normal site. Reader view is a sort of ‘quick view’, where you can quickly edit your post and reply to comments. Not to worry though, it confused me too at first, you’ll get used to it, assuming you’ve not done any damage after that headbanging session? 😉
I saw you wrote another comment a few weeks ago too, but I can’t find it. I don’t know if WordPress ate it or accidentally deleted it. Either way I remember you asking how the Tangerine American Dream got elected. There’s a few reasons…
1. Money. You can effectively buy the presidency in the U.S. with the right amount of money and influence.
2. A toxic political and cultural atmosphere in the U.S. that shuts down and stifles debate. He basically said what he thought, which some people found refreshing as he wasn’t a normal politician who wouldn’t give a politicians answer to everything. So people saw him as more of an ‘honest’ (LOL!) person. The fact is he’s up his own arse and being an arrogant gob shite just came naturally to him.
3. The stupidity of large segments of the American population.

Afraid it’s all a reaction to having Obama as president … swings and roundabouts… plus dem peeps across the ocean aren’t terribly bright on the whole.
I’m now living in the country .. Kent to be precise …have a great big garden that just leads out into fields … loving it .. often think of you as a new flower opens … perhaps I should bore people to death and do a blog here.

Legion was indeed a welcome distraction, it never fails to suck me in! Only one episode left now of series 3, the last ever actually. And yeh, it is a tad disturbing, even the the tiniest thing like Legion’s/David’s teddy as a child, to one of the biggest… the Yellow-eyed monster/Shadow King (Think morbidly obese fat man with a melted, saggy face and long claws). I recommend it if you’re into that sorta strange horror/Sci-fi stuff.

My water supply is no longer being used to dose me with fuck knows what, almost all the side-effects vanishing when my upstairs neighbour was removed for his own safety.
Make of THAT what you will, but now everybody who shit on me for the past 28 years is trying to butter me up.
I still need my meds, that hasn't changed, but I feel so much better!!!
All I have to do now is wait for the next set-up…

I’m glad that odd person upstairs has gone, though I still think next time you should collect a sample or evidence and give it to the Police. If the locals who torment you know that you have the Police behind you then they’ll be less likely to bother you again.

Hi Phil!
Since Paul was working with the Journalists who tie directly into the Police collecting samples would have been pretty pointless.
Unable to get to me directly and having run out of places to set me up (the local late shop was popular for several months) they rigged a Taxi with video recording gear, removed most of its logo and used it when I ordered a car as I had a set routine.
It got them nowhere and the Police slapped them down BIG TIME because they were paying local criminals to get to me!!!
Apparently being pure in thought and deed has its advantages.
They are still using recording gear in the taxis when I order them, but that’s pretty pointless as I’m not stupid enough to drop myself in it.
Currently they are working on the basis of ‘Everybody is guilty of something’ so it’ll be interesting to see what comes next as the last contact I had with them the Scottish journalist buzzed my intercom and, after verifying my identity tried to get me to go to a Christian meeting.
The bad news for him?
I became a Wiccan last year and they hadn’t been keeping up.
Hopefully we’ll soon reach the compensation stage soon as they are out of options.

I was looking for a place where I fitted so I gave everything a damned good look and found only lies and deception.
I kept going to church, but while I had a lot of friends there I was set up three times and I realised that, once you get past the fiction, the reality, was that religion is based on the carrot and stick approach (believe in an invisible man in the sky or be tortured for all eternity by his nemesis who supposedly works for him) based on a book of stories (starts with a talking snake and ends with a four headed monster – non fiction?).
Then I realised that the James minister was trying to get me to talk about myself for the benefit of my tormentors (Being strongly empathic is both a blessing and a curse) who STILL have my place wired for sound, and when I last went to church to deliver presents my friends were acting SERIOUSLY out of character.
So I walked away and, in talking to some of my Facebook friends, I finally found a place where fitted because the Wiccan faith is a spiritual path which does not need a Christian God and Devil, just your own path as no size fits all.
And here I am! 🙂 ❤
